Community Youth Center

Community Youth Center

Over time, historical trends have consistently demonstrated the positive impact of mental health interventions on both the productivity and life expectancy of specific populations. Understanding the intrinsic connection between social well-being and economic productivity, there is a pressing need to integrate comprehensive social efforts. Pamoja Youth Center assumes a crucial role in this pursuit by providing a safe space for individuals to express their creativity and imaginations.

The genesis of our program traces back to our humble office in Daraja Mbili, where we initiated with a modest library and craft supplies. Since then, it has evolved into a fully-fledged youth center located in Holo. At our youth center, we offer a spectrum of educational materials for children to engage with, alongside trade classes catering to those with varied interests. Presently, we hold DJ’ing and Photography classes facilitated by experienced instructors.

In addition to fostering creative pursuits, our youth center serves as a valuable resource hub for sexual and reproductive health. Here, youth can access essential resources, including condoms, as well as information on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and other HIV prevention and treatment resources. This holistic approach underscores our commitment to providing a multifaceted support system for the well-being and development of the youth we serve.

To create a safe environment conducive for learning, creativity, imagination and health promotion.
